Common questions
Is Dukkan really free to use?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever — no credit card required. You get a real store with up to 15 products, WhatsApp checkout, and an order management dashboard. We only charge when you want to remove the Dukkan branding or use a custom domain (Starter, 3 OMR/month).
Do I need to know how to code or design?
Not at all. Dukkan uses a section-based builder — you pick pre-designed sections, fill in your text and photos, and publish. There's no HTML, no CSS, and no design decisions to make. If you can use Instagram, you can use Dukkan.
How does the WhatsApp checkout work?
When a customer adds items to their cart and taps 'Order via WhatsApp', Dukkan generates a pre-filled WhatsApp message with the full order details (items, quantities, total, customer name) and opens it in WhatsApp — ready to send to you. The order is also saved in your Dukkan dashboard so you can track it, add notes, and update its status.
Can I use my own domain name (like mystore.com)?
Yes, custom domains are available on the Starter plan (3 OMR/month). You'll get a step-by-step guide for setting up the CNAME record with your domain registrar, and Dukkan handles the SSL certificate automatically. On the Free plan, your store is available at yourstore.dukkan.app.
Does Dukkan support Arabic and RTL layouts?
Yes — Arabic and right-to-left (RTL) support is built in, not bolted on. Merchants can switch their store and dashboard to Arabic with one click. All 10 themes are fully RTL-compatible. Prices are displayed in OMR by default.
What happens if I receive more orders than expected?
All order volume goes through the WhatsApp flow, so there's no server-side bottleneck on your end. Dukkan handles the pre-fill and order creation on fast Cloudflare edge servers. For stock management, each product has a stock count — once it hits zero, the 'Order' button is automatically disabled on your storefront.
Can I have multiple stores?
Multiple stores are coming on the Pro plan (in development). On Free and Starter, you get one store per account. If you manage multiple businesses, you can create separate Dukkan accounts today.
Is my store data secure?
Yes. Your store runs on Cloudflare's global edge network with SSL/TLS on every page. We never expose your phone number to anonymous storefront visitors — the WhatsApp URL is generated server-side only at checkout. Dukkan is hosted in a SOC 2-compliant infrastructure.
